This site was set up for the 50th
Reunion of the Cretin Class of 1957. It has been and will continue
to be used to allow
the '57 classmates to renew friendships and make new ones in
addition to providing information about all aspects of our
class. The site is now morphing into the Cretin Class of 1957
with ongoing information about our classmates and this page is now the Reunion page. We have updated
Banquets, Yearbook, Golf and Donation pages to show accounting
information and winners. This completes our updates for the
reunion.
The entire reunion was great (see pictures) but Friday was
extra special. See Sully's blog that expresses how most of us
feel but find it hard to put into words. This was a special
night.
Those who attended the luncheon at CDH on Wednesday, October
10, will recall that we presented a DVD recording of a new school
anthem, "The Halls of Cretin-Derham." After a survey
of those who heard the new song indicated overwhelming approval,
we have proposed that CDH consider adopting the Anthem to complement
The Rouser, joining many other schools that have both the rouser
and anthem song forms. In early December, a request that the
anthem be tested on a wider audience of CDH alumni was denied
by the administration. The main reason for the denial seemed
to be that, to be considered for adoption by the school, such
a song would need to originate from the student body.
